Lastly, I'm sharing and reflecting about my experiences, my genre, the things I learned, the struggles I went through, and my successes.

My journey in making this magazine had ups and downs. Many nights staying up trying to make the best version of my cover, TOC, and DPS but at the end will be happy about staying up because I love my results. First, I chose to write about art & design because art has been something in my life that has always been there for me to have as a hobby or to find myself or draw out my thoughts. Art helps to make my world come to life and therefore I chose this genre so I can help others to have that experience as well and to not be scared in beginning an era of their life. Art is also a very fun genre to talk about as well as you can be as creative or messy with making the magazine because that's what art is. It's all about finding your way through the tools and having fun with it.

Through this journey I have learned a lot of new techniques such as editing and photography. When I started this class, I had such a hard time taking photos because everything will get in the way. The shadows, reflections, the central image being blurry, or the background not letting the central image be the center of attention. What has helped me to learn to take good and professional photos was by the lessons in class of all the camera shots, angles, and movements. We would watch examples of these in movies or shows to help us see how it is supposed to look. The more and more I will practice by each photoshoot my class and I will take, the more my photos have progressed because then I knew what shots or angles there were. I know now how to work with the filters, lighting, angles, and shots. Then with editing I did have a little experience from my past projects in other classes because of presentations but this class was another level of editing I had to learn. One website I had to use a lot was Canva. I had to learn all the ways in how to manage it so I can edit my magazine. I had to learn how to edit my photos into it and makes them into shapes with frames and how to decorate my article. Now as I've used it every day for my magazine, I know how to use it and know how to edit. Also, for one assignment my class and I were supposed to learn how to edit in photoshop but there were some technical difficulties with our computers due to only a few of them already having photoshop downloaded. But I did get to use one computer with it and got to experience on how to use it. It was difficult at first since photoshop has a lot of buttons and techniques in it but with the help of my teacher I was able to get the ang out of it and complete my mood board.

All these things that I have learnt have given me a lot of struggles but a lot of experiences as well. At the end of it all, I'm really grateful that I have taken this class and learnt all these subjects. Since I'm already a movie lover I always looked forward to this class because we would learn about the shots and angles used in the movies/shows. Now whenever I watch a movie, I notice all the elements in it. I love that I know now how to take photos even though this wasn't a photography class and have progressed in my editing skills.
