So far, I did research for covers and table of contents for magazines. I talked about all the details there are to them like fonts, images, and the sections. Now lastly, I'm going to be talking about double - page spreads of 2 magazines from the genre, art & design. What's going to be discussed about is the house style and the content of each.
First Magazine: What Women Create

Number of Images: 4
Number of total pages for article: 2 pages
Description of each image:
1st image is a bunch pair of socks hanged on a line.
2nd is cans of wool stacked upon each other.
3rd is four rows of cabinets filled with wool of all colors.
4th is a close up of wool lined up.
Headline: KOIGU WOOL DESIGNS
Section titles: Theres only one which is at the bottom right corner, Koigu Wool Designs, for all the socials you can find the magazine at.
Pull quotes: None
Article Font Format: It's all typed in San Serif.
Stylistic Features: The main subject of the article is koigu wool designs so it's the only title of the double - page spread and it's edited in white.
Number of columns per page: One column for each page.
House Style: They like to add multiple images with lots of color as the main subject but keep it long and simple with the columns. Even though there's only one column per page, they are still long. Then the whole article is straight forward with only one title and being simple in plain white.
Content: This article is about the backstory of the people doing the magazine which is a family - owned business that creates their own yarn/wool. They talk about their journey and their progress so far currently.
Second Magazine: Modern Luxury Miami

Number of images: 3 images per page
Number of total pages for articles: 2
Description of each image:
1st is a picture of a room with a wall that has a painting of a horse sticking its tongue out with a girl standing next to it while being dressed like a horse and facing her head back. Then there's a room behind the wall with a couch and in the top of the wall there's a ladder hanging.
2nd is a painting
3rd is a room with guitars and equipment.
4th is an art piece called "Disease Thrower #1".
5th is a painting hanged above a DJ set called "Up All Night".
6th is the couple that collects all this art sitting in front of their other art piece.
Headline: Art Week Allure
Section titles: None
Pull quote: "We always attend Art Basel Miami Beach - it's a must. Design Miami/ is also a favorite, as is NADA, for up - and - coming contemporary artists and galleries."
Articles Font format: All typed in San Serif as well.
Stylistic Feature: All in San serif and in black. At the top of the title of the article has an introduction on what it will be about.
Number of columns per page: One for each.
House style: Adds images of the art pieces the couple has collected over the years and an image of the main subject the magazine is interviewing about. One column per page and has no section titles but It's all organized and perfectly aligned with each question in bold then providing their answers under it about art events they attend to and collect art pieces from. Then next to each image it says the description of it.
Content: The couple's opinion on how Miami art events are special and different than the rest. They also recommend which are the best art events to go to and they talk on why.
